All Professional Trades Inc. is a growing General Contracting company located at Leslie / 407, specializing in the interior renovation of Multi-Residential High-Rise Properties and Commercial Tenant Build-outs across Southern-Ontario. We are seeking an ambitious Licensed Electrician to join our team full time.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Licensed Electrician

 

This individual will be responsible for completing electrical work in a variety of High Rise Multi Residential build outs across the General Toronto Area. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in following directions and ensuring safety regulations are in place while completing assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are necessary in order to successfully and accurately communicate with clients, safety regulators, coworkers and the general public.

 

 

 

The Responsibilities and Duties

 

 

  • Install underground wiring and cables

 

  • Install, replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes

 

  • Splice, join and connect wires

 

  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits

 

  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults

 

  • Connect power to audio and visual equipment

 

  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables

 

  • Install power generation, stand-by power generation and power conditioning systems

 

  • Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures

 

  • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures

 

  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs

 

  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

 

  • Speak with customers to learn about equipment faults, explain procedures, answer questions and address complaints

 

  • Talk to safety and building inspectors about regulations and items that may not be in compliance with code

 

  • Exchange information with various stakeholders as required

 

 

 

The Qualifications and Skills

 

 

  • Ability to multitask

 

  • Ability to work independently

 

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of the work being completed

 

  • Valid G class drivers license

 

  • Valid 309A electrical license

 

  • Solid knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code (OEC)

 

 

 

Continuous Learning

 

 

Because the electrical code is updated regularly, construction electricians are expected to continue to learn and become familiar with changing code requirements. They must also keep up-to-date with changes in technology, products and strategies for addressing electrical concerns.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 42.5 hrs / week
Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 annually
